When I first heard about these eyeshadows, I got the feeling these could be amazing. Amelia Liana raved about these so much (and everybody and their blog), so I needed to buy one and test them out myself.
With the price of about 7€, these are definitely affordable. I mean, how often do you need to repurchase an eyeshadow?
These come in a big variety of shades, from smokey ones (like this one here) to mattes.
The packaging is small, sleek and handy. It is made out of plastic, so it may not be that luxurious, but I am not your packaging kind of gal.
So, let's get into it. How is the eyeshadow itself?
I must admit, at first I was really disappointed. I just packed it onto my lid after I put on an eyeshadow base and it creased immediately. What? Even on my beloved Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Pencils, they ruined it.
But I couldn't rest thinking about why everyone loved them so much, so I tried again. This time I used less product on a fluffy brush and put it just onto the outer corner and slightly into the crease, layering and layering. Okay, so there wasn't much layering because they are so pigmented and creamy.
The texture of these is really nice as well, it has a gel-like feel to it and is really longlasting.
To put it in a nutshell: Don't put too much of this gorgeous, beautiful, pigmented and creamy eyeshadow on and you got one of the best drugstore eyeshadows I ever had.
I totally recommend them.
For anyone interested, L'Oreal only tests on animals if they have to do them (like in China), but not in the EU.

Als ich zum ersten Mal von diesen Lidschatten hörte und sie im DM swatchte, wusste ich: diese Lidschatten sind der Hammer. Jeder und sein Blog schwärmten über sie, insbesondere Amelia Liana, also musste ich sie unbedingt austesten.
Für ca. 7€ sind sie nicht sehr teuer. Wie oft kauft man auch einen Lidschatten nach?
Es gibt viele Töne mit verschiedenen Texturen, Smokey und Matt.
Die Verpackung ist klein, sleek und handlich. Sie besteht aus Plastik, ist also nicht mega luxuriös, aber ich achte da eh nicht so stark drauf.
Also, wie sind die Lidschatten?
Ich muss gestehen, zu Anfang war ich echt enttäuscht. Ich habe den Lidschatten einfach großzügig auf mein Lid gepackt (mit Eyeshadow Base) und der Lidschatten hat sich sofort in meine Lidfalte verzogen. Wie bitte? Auch mit meinen geliebten Rimmel Scandal Eyes Lidschattenstiften drunter hat das ganze nicht funktioniert.
Mich hat das alles aber nicht in Ruhe gelassen. Wie können diese Lidschatten so geliebt sein, wenn sie so schlecht sind? Also habe ich weiter probiert und probiert. Dieses Mal habe ich einen Blenderpinsel genommen und ihn nur in auf den äußeren Augenwinkel und leicht in die Lidfalte aufgetragen und mit weniger Produkt gearbeitet. Ich musste nicht viel schichten: diese Lidschatten sind einfach extrem weich und pigmentiert.
Die Textur ist etwas gelartig, was ich recht interessant finde. Sie haben (mit Base) auch recht lange gehalten.
Um es zusammenzufassen: Wenn man nicht zu viel von diesen tollen, schönen, stark pigmentierten und cremigen Lidschatten aufs Auge packt, sind diese wirklich ein paar der besten Lidschatten aus der Drogerie.
Für alle, die es interessiert: in der EU sind Tierversuche verboten. L'Oreal verkauft allerdings auch in China, wo Tierversuche gemacht werden müssen, damit sie dort verkaufen können.
